Firsts

I can understand why couples are often shunned by their old friends.  They get sappy, moony, public-display-of-affectiony.  Nobody wants to look at that...

But one of the things we've done a lot of this week is thinking of things we've both done for just ever, and realizing that we're doing them now as a married couple.
  • On Tuesday, we went for our first married car ride.
  • Yesterday was the first Thursday we've ever been married.
  • I ate my first married potato chip today.
I mean, our friends can hardly stand it.  And who could blame them?

    This is most likely the reason why people go off on their honeymoon shortly after the ceremony. You can be as mushy as you like at that all inclusive Jamaican resort and no one will bat an eye!
